Mamma Mia!
This weekend, a friend and I went to see Mamma Mia at Wolf Trap, a local outdoor venue. We had cheap lawn tickets (thanks to Groupon), so we arrived early for the 2pm matinee. It was six plus hours in the hot sun, but wow, we had fun. I’ve never been to a Broadway play, but this was a great introduction (read: cheap, plus the ability to bring your own picnic).
The music was great fun, of course, and the performance great. I only wish we had closer seats so we could see the actors up close, but for 10 bucks, it was great entertainment. I loved watching the crowd singing with the performers after the show - it’s definitely a favorite for a good reason.
